Design Thinking is an innovation methodology that builds solutions for problems, with users’ needs in mind.
L&D professionals are often said to be too "textbook" in the solutions that are proposed to the business. Design thinking offers not just a fresh, innovative approach to do this, but more importantly, it focuses on the end users' needs in mind; involving the users during the design of the solution. It combines existing knowledge, new human-centered insights, and a process of trying things out quickly and dealing with ambiguity. Ultimately, solutions are tested rapidly with real people in the real world. By the end of this programme, participants will be equipped with new tools and processes and a mindset that is comfortable with ambiguity, rapid experimentation and co-creation within teams.
